So Seantrel has officially been named the #1 overall prospect on Rivals. Man, to even think we have a chance at this dude is amazing in its own right. Doubt he comes here, but still....cool to think about lol

Gjere is now a 4-star on Rivals, #161 in the Rivals250. He'll probably drop like Alipate though cause he's a Minny recruit

Tom Parish commits

Gophers get #5 with Parish from WI:

Quote:
Tom Parish, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound quarterback from Hartland (WI) Arrowhead, committed to Minnesota Saturday morning after meeting with head coach Tim Brewster, according to his father Steve. Parish is the fifth commit to Minnesota from the Class of 2010. Parish helped lead the Warhawks to a 13-1 mark, losing to Mequon Homestead 13-11 in the Wisconsin Division One State Championship title.
That makes two players from WI. I like to see this. Many people in WI don't think he is the top QB from their state. But I wonder how much of that opinion is based on him verbally committing to the Gophers? The guy won a state championship so he's clearly a winner. Plus, it's not like the BADgers have had much success developing quarterbacks with people they think are great. My guess: they're pissed that the tables have turned in football recruiting and now Wisconsin is fast-becoming "in-state" territory for Brewster and Co.

TWO commits from Wisconsin 10 months before signing day? Ha ha ha!!!

Smell it, smell it, now take it, Wisconsin!

I had been hearing the rumors that he was gonna commit. Good to see. Early commits show a sign of progress for the program.

Well, Zags decommits and commits to Wisconsin after saying he "never really saw himself at Wisconsin" and "Minnesota is where it's at" and "The decision is final". I don't blame kids for decommitting, but wow, he basically lied. That's messed up. And then goes to the place he said he never really saw himself going. If he really wasn't thinking about Wisconsin, it woulda taken him a little more than 2 months to switch his commit up, I'd think. He basically used us to get an offer from Becky quicker, I think. Some real shady ish right there.

Gophersfan23 is on a distinguished road
I heard there is this 6'5" 280lb Lineman Dan Reil from Buffalo,MN who has reportedly been seen attending practices and meeting with staff. He hasn't been ranked yet but he looks like he could do some damage. He doesn't have a scout profile yet. Think he could help out?

Welcome to BTF. Haven't heard much about this kid, but if the staff is interested he must have some potential at the very least. 6'5" 280, sounds like he has some decent size.

Or he could rocket up to #49, which is where he now stands on the Rivals100. That's pretty cool cause I can't recall the last time Minny's had a player ranked that high on the rivals list that's committed here. Now if only we could get some guy named Seantrel and really make a splash

Lamonte is now also a 4 star on Rivals, good for him. Reppin Woodbury nicely.

New recruit, Allen Veazie outta Texas. To be honest, I know nothing about the kid and neither does Rivals or Scout apparently lol. ESPN has him rated 75, their description: "Veazie is not going to blow you away with measurables on paper but he is a very savvy and versatile cornerback prospect who plays with good technique and simply knows how to find the football and make plays in coverage. Maybe sliding under the radar at this time. While slight in stature he has adequate height and plays bigger on film. Excels in both man-to-man and zone schemes. Shows fluid hips and turns."

Hopefully a good one there.
