Some of these kids are coming in as WR/Athletes. I would guess at least a couple of them will end up on defense.

I AM hearing great things about this kid and that he is very well thought of in Ohio. Could be a top ten Ohio kid.

And he is the only slot so far. Kinda outta no where, but so was Gallon. Could provide problems getting Kenny Shaw now.

I know this is somewhat of a shock compared to what we are used to but a teams needs a lot of WR's to run a spread and UM was really thin at slot last year. You just have to not look at slots and WR's being the same because they are different. Slots are basically going to be taking spots away from the TE's that old UM used to get so it isn't like RR is getting all these WR/slots and won't be able to go after DT's or LB's.

UM insiders are suddenly VERY optimistic about Gardner. Essentially calling him blue.

Apparently Gardner will make it official on Monday.

Isn't there something going on this weekend, with recruits?! Champions night, or something like that?

Yes, UM started it last year and they basically do it as part of their junior day festivities. Spring practice also starts this weekend. Should be a lot of kids in for visits this weekend.

(Assuming he is blue)....
Den, I am getting some conflicting reports. Some are saying that if he goes to UM, it will be as WR. Others are saying he is one of the top QBs in the country, and he could redshirt and play QB at UM.

What are your thoughts?

The WR reports were from MSU''s Rivals site, meant as a semi-flame, but more that if Forcier balls it up, it will hard to keep Gardner's athleticism off the field, so he might play some WR.
