Eh...I just don't see it the same I guess. I thought they looked tremendously sloppy on offense...the quick-fire threes really bothered me a lot...especially from the younger kids. It was like they were just chucking shit at the rim.

No depth was painfully obvious...no inside threat at all without JJ...there will be more games where he doesn't give the team 35-40 minutes...and against tougher teams IMO.

And yes...lack of a real Point Guard was obvious sometimes. No one to really lead the offense at times. Missing LewJack is going to cost us this year I think.

This was as quick and as relentlessly athletic a team as we might see all year...UT's press was SICK. They're mostly seniors and they play the pressure game very well; I was thrilled at how little Purdue turned it over, and we actually OUT-REBOUNDED them!

Purdue must get smarter at knowing when to contest a shot, and when to resist the urge to bang/foul...waaay too many dumb fouls committed after the ut guy beat his defender.

I credit UT's pressure and overall quickness for making us look so disjointed on offense--the shitty reffing took JJ out of the game, and Purdue REALLY needs Sandi Marcius to heal up and provide an inside presence to allow JJ to stay in games longer..

This was an incredibly intense game, played at an amazing level of emotion for late November.... No doubt Purdue has flaws, but IMO it does not detract from how GREAT it feels to beat a world-class slimeball and a dopey, mouthy fanbase...
